Snow comment:

From now until the start of the season machinery and staff will be out on the hill. This means skidoos, can ams and groomers with winch cables up to a kilometer long will be working at any time. Ski Tourers please beware, it is your responsibility to stay clear and only Sarah Sue and Wall Street should be used for all uphill access.

Road comment:

We are now in winter road conditions. This morning we will start with 2WD to fit chains at Chain Bay 3 and 4WD to carry. We expect this will be the status until Tuesday at least given the cold temps. The Dropzone is closed, please abide by this for everyone's safety. Check the posted conditions at the bottom of the road, carry chains and know how to fit them.

Coronet Peak weather

Weather:
-1.2° Partly Cloudy
Today’s outlook:

Things are looking good for opening next Saturday June 14th.  We will start with Coronet Express Chair, Meadows Express Chair, Dual Magic Carpets, Beginner carpet and Skiwiland carpet.
Snowguns are working hard and will continue to do so for a few more days this week at least. We received 15cm of wind blown snow Friday evening as an added bonus. Groomers will be out on the hill from today. Please avoid the M1 for uphill access.
Just a friendly reminder, being closed means we don't have any facilities open (including toilets) and with the weather ahead make sure you are carrying chains and know how to fit them.  The Dropzone is closed until we can get the Tractor in and clear it properly.  Please use Carpark 1.
See you all on June 14th for opening day of the winter season!
