Snow comment:
Broken River is OPEN with sunny skies and spring-like conditions to start the day. The corn skiing around Main Tow was excellent on Friday. Conditions are set to improve even further this weekend with a storm rolling in. Clouds and snow showers are expected to move in early this afternoon, with around 10 cm of fresh snow forecast overnight. Continued snowfall on Sunday should keep conditions getting better throughout the weekend.
There are still a few spots available in our lodges for Saturday night. Lodge guests are usually first on the tows each morning, giving them the best chance at fresh tracks. We're also running a Fresh Snow Special for Sunday night: 20% off on-mountain accommodation on Sunday 16 August for both catered and self-catered stays. Book as usual online at brokenriver.co.nz for the special.
