Working with our partners to make your winter a little bit sweeter
Porters is open with all lifts spinning. We are expecting another great day with sunshine in the forecast and fun on trail conditions.
With a storm expected to start building tomorrow, today could be your last chance to get some spring conditions for a few days.
At 5:45 am, we have patchy high cloud, light winds in the base area rising to moderate on the mid and upper mountain. Winds are expected to increase a bit late afternoon. The current temperature is 4 degrees.
We have groomed Sundance down to the load area at T3, and our intermediate trails through McNulty’s, Stellar Bowl and into Easy Street are also looking great today, with wide grooming and grippy snow, softening as the day goes on.
Our learners areas will have offer up some great conditions today, and will be the ideal spot to work on your skills. If you’re looking for a lesson, pop into our ticket office and book a spot with one of our instructors – we have options for all ages and abilities. Kids 10 and under ski for free at Porters.
The access road this morning is chain free. We recommend in winter that all vehicles carry chains.
Our shuttle service will be running return trips throughout the day, picking up at Chain Bay 2 (and the lodge on request) at 9:30am and 10:30am. Return shuttles will be available all afternoon.
Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar, just 6km up our access road, will be open for coffee from 9am, and meals from 11am. Pop in for Apres after enjoying a day on our slopes.
Snowplay is closed until further notice – check back for updates after the weekend.
