A real mountain experience! Great for couples. 4 cabins with wood fired hot tubs and luxury queen size beds a couch and fire overlooking the Waiau basin on Lake Stella. Self catering and right at the heart of the Mt Lyford Adventure Park and Closest accommodation to the Ski Area.
Ice Skating also available when conditions are right. Snow Shoe Hire for the Stella Basin Trail for Ski/ Board Hiking and tree skiing!

We are open at Lake Stella today only from Midday. The storm is still hanging into us and a team will go up and dig out and deice the Lake Stella Basin Rope Tow this morning. First time open since June 1995! We cant wait! The rope is 600m long and gives access to ski the Lake Stella Basin with a tree run to boot! These are they days we put this lift in for, strong sw winds out back and blizzard conditions but Stella sits with it's back to the wind. Tickets only today and Rope Tow harness hire available. Sorry no ski hire. Best suited today for those used to the mountains with Awd/4wd vehicles and chains sorry no 2 wheel drives. Gate Open at 11am
This morning we will also start heading out to the Terako Basin the main ski area once the wind and snow allows to reopen the main ski area on Thursday. We will update on conditions as hard to tell until safe to get out to Terako.
The weekend looks fantastic with great weather and cooler temps.
