Snow comment:

From now until the start of the season machinery and staff will be out on the hill. This means skidoos, can ams and staff will be working at any time. And 6pm - 6am groomers with winch cables up to a kilometer long will be working.

Chains Must Be Carried
Road comment:

We are now in winter road conditions. Chains to be carried for all vehicles. We are expecting a dusting of snow over opening weekend and with cold temps that can result in quick changes to the road conditions. The Dropzone is now open, its just that - a drop zone. Check the posted conditions at the bottom of the road, carry chains and know how to fit them.

Coronet Peak weather

Weather:
0.7° Partly Cloudy
Today’s outlook:

Things are looking really promising for opening this Saturday June 14th.  It will be a top to bottom opening.  Wherever we have landed snow its epic, with great snow depth on those runs.  We will start with Coronet Express Chair, Meadows Express Chair, Dual Magic Carpets, Beginner carpet and Skiwiland carpet. As well as the full sledding lane and sightseeing.  Off piste its 'join the dots' working from man made whale to whale.  Good fun if you love exploring.
Snowguns were on for six days and looking likely they will be on again as we enter opening weekend as we look to build width.
Just a friendly reminder, being closed means we don't have any facilities open (including toilets) and with the weather ahead make sure you are carrying chains and know how to fit them.  The Dropzone is open again but only for Drop off.  Please use Carparks 1 and 2 if you are staying a while.
See you all on June 14th for opening day of the winter season!
