Snow comment:
Saturday the 30th August - We are Open! Club Champs are on today, the theme is retro so bring out that old gear and show up! Races will start at 10:30AM with the classic Slalom, Chinese Downhill and Veteran's Race. In the shadows the skiing is on with drifted cold powder. Let our sunny spots soften up before you head that way but by mid afternoon things should be going. The goat track back to the tow is is plush like a carpet in a bathroom from the 70s with only one or two rocks as you make it back to the tow. Below bus stop things have improved but, rocks still exist especially with a bit of adventure.
The Summer Rd is open for 4WD vehicles, so bring a BBQ and hangout mere meters from the tows, maybe the only 3 parking spots in New Zealand you could get on a tow from the boot of your car. Don't forget to radio from the Container and grab a towbelt on your way up. Sir Lloyd will be serving up his classic Olympus lunches. See you all up here!
