We all think about skiing as a “winter sport” and you know, it kind of is.
Spring however … longer, warmer days, softer and more forgiving snow, less people, BBQ's and maybe a cold beverage for lunch! We think it’s just more fun to ski and ride in spring, truly!
And this season, good news. The industry has put together some fantastic spring deals.
What can’t you like about that!
Well, there are two in fact! One for people who have yet to discover a love of snow (and ultimately you will!), and one who love the snow, and love a great deal! So let's look at them.
|The “Learn to Ski” package includes a beginner area lift pass, rental skis/boots/poles or snowboard/boots, and a group lesson for just $49. At that price you can’t NOT give snow a go we reckon! It really is a great time of year to ski and ride. Just do it! If you’re looking for a bit more information on what to expect when you get up to the snow, check out our article here on learning to ski.||Skiing and riding is simply more fun with friends. You might have heard the old saying, “there’s no friends on a powder day!", well we reckon even on those days you’ll have more fun with your mates! And on those classic spring days when the spring snow “releases” (softens), it’s almost like a powder day every day. So take a mate, split the petrol costs, have more fun, and grab a great deal!|
All the major ski areas around New Zealand are participating from Saturday September 14 to Sunday September 22.
