Snow comment:

This weekend, we have the Skoda South Island Secondary School MTB Championships. Due to the recent snow fall, we have invoked the weather day and the Skoda Schools will now run Friday to Sunday impacting which trails will be open.

Friday 31st: XC Race Day and DH seeding runs. All 3 trails will be closed to the public. Shuttles for the lower trails will run as normal 10am-4pm. Sightseeing is open as normal.

Saturday 1st: DH Race Day. The XC will be open 10 am until 4pm as long as conditions improve. The DH trail will be closed all day. URR can be accessed from Tuck (subject to conditions.) Shuttle will be operational as normal.

Sunday 2nd: Enduro Race Day. XC and URR will be closed until about midday (depending on when the last racer finishes.) Hopefully they will open midday until 4pm. The DH will be open all day from 10am until 4pm. The shuttle will not be operating this day.

Today’s outlook:

Due to the snow early this week and forecast over the weekend we are going to run the XCC today as well as seeding runs and practice for the DH championships. Because of this all of our trails will be closed to the public for bikers, but sightseers are more than welcome and will be rewarded with lovely views today. We will still run shuttles and access to the trails below our lifts will not be impacted. The Skoda South Island Secondary School MTB Championships is on this week Friday-Sunday which will impact which trails are open. Please read below for more info.
