Ride New Zealand's steepest and most serene railway. Funicular your way up through a native Beech forest. Marvel at the majesty of the mountains as you tram through a tunnel of trees. A great way to start the day and the glide back down makes grateful knees!
Tram hours are 9:30-11:30am and 4:00-6:00pm.
The gateway to the main basin.
Access is open, but the towline is a little bit sporty. If you are in inexperienced rope tow user, please walk to Palmer to help our towline last the rest of the season. Consider wearing tramping boots and carrying up your ski boots.
Gives access to the lookers left side of the Main basin as well as Ridge Tow and provides stunning views of the possibly haunted Grey range.
A lovely little spinner! Have it silently ascend you to the gnarly lines on Nervous Knob, Allan's Basin, and beyond!
Great for beginners and kids. Handy to the day lodge.
The next step after Learners tow, plus gets you from Palmer Lodge over to Main tow.

Cosy with great food and brilliant company.

Snow comment:
CLOSED
Recent weather events have pummeled our snow pack, and we are quite pleased with how well the Broken River Basin has weathered the storms. That said, rain, wind, and even sunshine have put our towlines on life support. We need some snow and time to help our tow lines and skiing recover. We picked up a trace of snow overnight, but more is needed. We will be closed today and are hoping to get some more fluffy stuff this afternoon/evening. Think snowy thoughts!
The 5th Annual Barry's Bay Cheese Roll is on Saturday! Get ready to chase some cheese.
