Snow comment:
Broken River is OPEN today with fresh snow! We recevied 5 cm overnight and it's still snowing. We expect to pick up another 5 cm this morning before the storm clears and visibility improves. Get on up here and ski fresh powder with just a few of your mates. As people found with last week's storm, the best time to be here is on storm days waiting on good visibility and having the mountain to yourself.
If you don't make it up here today, there will be plenty of fresh tracks for you on Friday. Stay Thursday night to get up the mountain before anyone else on Friday.
On Saturday (19/9) at BR we are having the BR Freeride Competition organised by BR homegrown World Freeride Champion Hamish Henderson. This low-key, social competition is open to everyone - ski and snowboard, and adult & junior categories. We've got some cool prizes and there'll be a BBQ to finish. $20 registration.
