Ruapehu Ski Club

Bruce Rd

Ruapehu Ski Club Is New Zealand's oldest ski club and is a feature of Mt Ruapehu. RSC was founded in 1913, making it the pioneer of New Zealand skiing organisations and one of the earliest in the British Commonwealth.

RSC has a lot to offer. Four high quality buildings - two on the snow, one in Whakapapa Village, one in Turoa Village.

We have an incredibly good ski activities program for racing and ski development, and also a school holiday programs for the kids.
The family atmosphere can’t be beaten, with children growing up to be ‘kids of RSC'.

Our buildings reflect the family orientation of the Club. The generous living and dining spaces maintain the Club and family atmosphere providing members of all ages the opportunity to meet and enjoy their stay together. Sleeping accommodation is principally bunk rooms although later buildings and future redevelopment provide for more personal accommodation. During the ski season each building has a chef in residence with the Lodge accommodating the resident ski instructor.

Accommodation fees are charged on a per night basis. During the ski season the fees also include all food and facilities. These fees are kept very low to encourage occupancy. An even lower bed only rate applies during the summer. Members book their accommodation by fax, post or email through our Auckland administration office.

Membership costs include a modest annual subscription which covers general operating costs and helps to maintain the Club's buildings. There is also a one-off joining fee. Details of the current fees are available from the Club's administration officer.
